How We Work

PICKAPOOH would be unthinkable without a team that is passionate about creating a great product together!

That's why, on the following pages, I would like to introduce you to the people who work with me to ensure your satisfaction. Our small company runs like clockwork – everyone is indispensable in our “to order” production system and ensures, through their personal commitment every day, that our hats and other accessories are something very special.

The Office

Krystel is highly motivated and always positive in our office, responsible for our shop, order entry and shipping. Cheerful and friendly, she takes care of everyone, including international customer inquiries and requests.

Michaela, very competent and an absolute all-rounder, who actively supports the team with a lot of good humor! Thank you very much, that does us good!

The Cut

In the cutting department, Sigrid, Evgeni, Manuela, Zarif, and Said take care of the next step in the process. Using cutting plans, they cut the pieces from a wide variety of organic fabrics that will later be assembled into hats, scarves, slippers, mittens, and the many other items in our product range.

Their work requires full concentration, as the saws are sharp! They perform this task competently, quickly, and with the utmost care!

The Sewing Room

There's always a lot to do in the sewing room.

Without Gisele, Sonya, Anelia, Tina, Tatjana, Mustafa, Ani, Mandana – these diligent and highly competent employees – PICKAPOOH products would be hard to imagine. With attention to detail, expertise, and great care, our team manufactures hats, scarves, bandanas, mittens, booties, and boots.

With this loyal top team, the products achieve high quality. Thank you all for being so actively involved, each and every one of you is very important to me!

Quality Control

You expect consistently high quality, and Vera ensures you won't be disappointed. She handles every single piece to snip threads, insert elastic bands, and tie ribbons. Thank you for your incredibly reliable work!

Eylem is our specialist at the ironing station and for ribbon planning; she knows all the fabric color numbers and the corresponding ribbon colors – brilliant! She ensures your caps are perfectly shaped when they leave our facility. She is also a great support in the shipping department.

Marketing & Photography

Sabine Strokosch, right from the first time we met, we felt our connection! With her calm demeanor and great passion for photography, she helps create wonderful moments and photos during our photo shoots for our catalogs, website, and for our customers!

Olaf Lochschmidt is an important pillar who helped make PICKAPOOH what it is today!
With much heart and passion, he was involved in marketing and photography and is responsible for the many, super, beautiful and lively photos that have been created over the last decades!

Katharina Tello, a freelance photographer from Berlin, contacted us unprompted. She wanted to provide us with pictures of her children, who love wearing PICKAPOOH hats. Kathi's unique photographic style is a great asset to our image gallery.

IT - Computers & Co.

For us, IT stands for "Invisible Tom". Invisible like a brownie, Tom has been ensuring the smooth operation of all systems since the beginning of the year, working outside our business hours. This means I no longer have to worry about the infrastructure and can concentrate on what's important – hats and more.

Coproduction & Field Service

Karin Riekert, with her energy, determination, and expertise as owner, manages our external manufacturing facility, Riekert Tex, where employees specialize entirely in PICKAPOOH products. Together with Karin, and with great personal commitment and love for the product, they ensure that we can all make even more children happy!

Retail customers from Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, and Berlin have known Marlis Wengel, our sales representative, for years as a reliable consultant for ordering our products. She competently advises you on assembling your assortment, and you benefit from her many years of experience.

With her lively personality, Marlis is also a great help at our trade fair appointments at the International Natural Textile Fair (INNATEX), which takes place twice a year for resellers in Wallau near Frankfurt (www.innatex.de).
